About

My name is Luna and I’m an Italian science communicator: I collaborate with scientists to help them share their work, whether with fellow researchers or the general public.

Since always I’ve been fascinated by nature and living beings, just as much as I’ve enjoyed visual arts.
In my late teens, I choose to study how to protect nature from a scientific perspective. Then, after completing a MCs in Environmental Biology, I found a new interest in science communication and I specialised in it at SISSA in Trieste, Italy. I later worked in educational publishing, and in the meantime became involved in Art-Science projects. Today, visual science communication has become my main focus: I create illustrations, videos and animations that tell about nature and environmental topics.

I believe that an effective communication – both within the scientific community and between science and society – is essential to build a more sustainable, inclusive and just world.
